4 positives of being in a dangerous amount of debt
Yes, that’s right, there are some positives in being in a stupid amount of debt, and people who’ve been in the same position as me can attest to this. Of course, there are more negatives, and we can’t escape that, but it’s important to look at the bright side as well.
Being in debt forces you to change as a person and reassess how you live your life. It can take you off a destructive path and put you on one to prosperity. You have to change as there is no other option and you can’t let anyone, no matter how middle-class their mentality, get in your way.
It forced me to get a real career
I was in a career that was killing me financially as it was one dictated completely by subjectivity. It was hard to get a job and could take a month to get any feedback on your application, then that feedback would be shit. Because I was sick of getting rejected or accepted with low wages I decided to change career.
After a few months of deliberation and good old-fashioned trial and error, I landed a career in finance. I’m really interested in finance and I get to learn a lot about money so I can save and make more of it.
