4 risks of dating a coworker
Dating a coworker might seem like a good idea at the time, but it comes with its own risks, big ones too because they affect your income. This is why I, and many other people opt out of dating people from work. Even if we meet someone that seems too good to be true, chances are, that’s exactly the case.
Everyone knows your business
When you date someone from work, it’s only natural that one or both of you is going to speak to colleagues about how it’s going. People are also going to see you interact, and they may try and cause drama in your relationship for their own amusement.
This means that when you’re at work and at home, everyone knows the details of your relationship and it feels like everyone is watching you all the time. There is also more of a chance that one of you is going to get constant shit advice (she will) that may screw everything up.
You could fall into a trap
People are not always who they say they are at work and that means that dating people is always a massive risk. People lie about who they are when dating outside of work sometimes, but at least you’re not obligated to be around those people for large parts of the day.
If you do end up dating a nutjob then you’re stuck in the same place of work as them and…
