A list of all my jobs (I can remember) and why I left. Part 2
Looking back at my last post about this, I am impressed that I could remember as much as I could. I think in future I should be writing these symoultaniously instead of once every 6 months.
I think that but I won’t do it.
I think at this point I got my first real job, and it was my favourite job to this day, even though it went sour towards the end and in the middle — and a little bit at the start.
I really haven’t enjoyed my career.
Working in the post room for a major building society
This is still my longest job to date, and I liked working for the company so much that I tried to get another permanent position so I could stay forever. I even played a game for their Sunday League team and got to know some of the staff. I actually felt at home at this company and I’ve not felt like that anywhere else.
I was in the post room and it was my first dealing with corporate life albeit indirectly. I worked with mostly old people and a couple of guys in their 30s/40s.
The old people were funny because they were at that age where they didn’t give a fuck, one guy had every surgery you could think of. He was about 75 and still going.
