No this is not news or something new, it’s just an observation on something that’s already been going on for a while. At smart companies anyway. Sales have moved on and become something a lot more sophisticated and pleasant by applying some common sense.

There's less aggression

In sales nowadays because it’s not necessary, and it never was. You never needed to panic people or pressure them into making a purchase, a calm approach works just fine.

If a person is calm and comfortable they’re more likely to buy something than if they’re feeling rushed and aggravated. The customer is more likely to like you and come back and send referrals too.

They feel like you’re helping them rather than tricking them into buying something they don’t need.

You need to create an experience

For your customer because a product and a sales pitch are no longer enough. Sitting someone in a room and barking the benefits of the product in their face is no longer the way, it’s about creating a good all-around experience.

From the minute the customer gets near your building the service needs to start. Make it easy to get to the building and park, be friendly when the customer comes in, and make them comfortable whilst waiting. These small…
