A side hustle or a second job?

In this economy, if people want to live the life that they desire they’re going to have to earn some extra money, the only problem is how. Wages haven’t been rising very quickly and people want more, there has to be some give.

I’ve tried many things to earn extra money and I’ve hated almost all of them, so much so that I think people who can do anything for money must be mentally ill. I don’t even want to use Medium as a side hustle although Medium makes that impossible by stepping on writers, but that’s another story.

I first tried side hustles — so many side hustles. I’ve tried marketing, writing, and dropshipping to name a few, with mixed results. Last year was my first experience with a second job. Whilst making money was easier, it took up so much time and was inflexible.

It depends on your goals but there are pros and cons to both. I don’t want to do anything right now as I want a break from the extra work. I’ve worked hard my entire 20s and have almost nothing to show for it. That’s life.
