Am I too blunt and direct?
What does it mean to be too blunt and direct? I guess it means saying what you really mean without any fluff. Society wants us to use fluff because people aren’t used to hearing the truth and they have no desire to. They’ve been brought up in a fantasy where everything is amazing and they’re a perfect person.
Reality is very different.
I’ve always done this and it’s because it’s how my brain works. I don’t see the point of beating around the bush. I am aware that it’s not always appropriate and the audience needs to be taken into consideration, but I quite honestly don’t give a shit sometimes.
Sometimes I think that people not liking or understanding direct communication is a reflection of how bullshit society is. Society is so fake and people being direct and honest cracks the fabric of the bullshit.
People are also very sneaky and will try to twist your words to mean something else. Being blunt stops this, especially when you’re blunt about people’s bullshit.
People are scared of hearing the honest truth
Actually, people love to hear the truth, just when it’s about someone else. When it comes to themselves they don’t want anything to do with it. People find you so entertaining when you’re telling others how it is, but they’ll call you mean…
