Are Millennials repeating boomer mistakes?
Boomers get a lot of complaints, some are fair, but I do think that a lot of them are unfair and blame-shifting. Some problems with the world are circumstantial, and maybe it’s the case that Boomers got to live in a more stable time. But when you look back, Boomers had a lot of shit to put up with too, and they actually went to war. They didn’t just change their profile picture on Twitter and shame people all day.
Blaming the older generation is normal. All the problems with the world must come from the people that were here beforehand according to young(er) people, they don’t seem to understand that some problems just are the price of humanity. Whilst Boomers have done some bad things, I think Millenials, and probably all the future generations will make the same mistakes.
Your perspective changes when you get older, so you’re not going to look at yourself as the bad guy when you may be doing obviously bad things according to younger people. People of certain ages tend to fall into certain behaviours and mindsets.
