Black people shouldn’t chase white people's dreams

Black people and white people's lives are very different so the things we want out of life are typically different. If you grew up black in the poor or in the hood you might aim for a quiet life in a safe neighbourhood. If you grew up white in the suburbs, you might want a life of luxury without having to work for it, as so many of them do nowadays.

There are some black people who see what white people want and they want the same thing, but what they don’t realise is that life isn’t the same for us. Even if we can reach the same goals we might not get the same results. Even the black elites have experienced this.

We are black, so the experiences we’ll have in those places and the things we have to do to get there will be different. That will make you change your mind about if you actually want this at all.

We won’t be accepted in the same places

Not as we are anyway. Black people might be able to make the same money, get the same jobs, and live in the same area sometimes, but our treatment by the people in those places won’t be the same.
