Do you eat too much?
I’ve never been fat, the worst I’ve been is having a little bit of a belly, and the solution was simple — I ate less. I didn’t starve myself like so many people do, instead, I ate smaller portions and fewer meals, along with eating healthier meals of course.
It’s so simple but a lot of people don’t do it. They eat way more than they need to and eat large portions. Then they wake up in the morning, look at themselves in the mirror and wonder why they can’t lose any weight. It’s the government's fault (I’ve actually seen people blame them for being fat).
What if I told you that exercise isn’t going to help you either? You think that you can outwork your diet but you can’t, you are what you eat and no amount of running can change that. Put down the fork and think about what you’re doing to yourself.
Why do we eat 3 meals a day?
Why do we eat 3 meals a day in so many cultures? I’ve wondered this for a while, so now I’m going to take the 2 seconds to look it up.
The three meals per day concept originated with Englanders who achieved financial prosperity.
It was more of a social norm than anything else and it didn’t have much logic to it. People being people just followed the rule without question as that’s what everyone else was doing.
