Don’t look up to people that you work with, you might see something you don’t like

I will never have this problem personally as I don’t even like many people that I’ve worked with, but some deluded people do. It doesn’t go well unless the person is secretly using the other one, but then they’re not genuinely looking up to them.

At a recent company I worked at (I can’t believe it was this year I left) there was a general colleague who looked up to a manager, but the manager was using her to get at others and to make herself feel better as she was sad and lonely as all finance managers are.

In the end, she ended up luckily seeing through the manager and avoiding her when possible, and it was the shitty treatment of me that helped her see that.

People at work are faking it

Some people are so gassed that they think that the ass-kissing they receive at work is real. They genuinely believe that they’re all a family and everyone loves them. These people live in a TV show and are completely delusional.

Maybe they lack life experience and they don’t know yet that everyone is fake. But once that door is opened it can’t be closed and you become one of the millions of people who hate work.
