Everyone is struggling financially — bar the people I work with

Does anyone else feel like this? The entire world is poor if you watch the news, but the people I work with seem to have lots of money to burn. I’m not envious because they spend their money on useless bullshit, but I do find it weird that they have all this money despite not getting paid that much.

I work in an office in the UK, so that means I work with mostly middle-class people, but still, has the cost of living not affected them at all? Did their COVID saving really go that well?

Credit cards and finance

A lot of these people do live off of credit cards and finance and the consequences haven’t hit them yet. Debt comes for all of us one day, it’s just that it hits some of us sooner than others, and some people keep running. Some people get very good at running, but they probably should put that energy into paying their bills.

It took years for me to get to a point where I couldn’t run from my debt anymore and then I chose to face it head on. Now I am managing it well and I have sorted all but one problem debt which will be dealt with soon.
When it comes to debt, you can run but you can’t hide forever.

I’d rather be debt-free with a clear mind than be loaded with debt and skillfully running…
