Finding adventure in small day-to-day activities

I had the idea for this post back when I was in Toulouse, but it’s more relevant now than ever as it’s something that I’ve been thinking about a lot and trying to apply in my life again.

We don’t need to constantly be doing the biggest and best things all the time although they are fun too, we can find adventure in the small things. I think that’s what the happiest people do, although it’s not always intentional.

Sometimes when you speak to people you can tell they take joy in doing the most mundane things in life. They’re usually small-town people and not too bright but don’t let that distract from my point.

Not to sound like a fruity children's book that was written by a guy with questionable opinions on Jewish people, but there is a wonder all around us. There are so many fun things that we could be doing and games that we could be playing. We don’t have to travel all the time, do extreme sports, or create pointless drama, we can enjoy simple everyday activities.

If you use your imagination you can find adventure in walking the streets. This is especially helpful if you’re poor as you’ll be doing this a lot.

Stimulation is your responsibility too
