Habits that keep British people poor

The UK has one of the biggest economies in the world even though it’s in a pretty embarrassing decline right now. I don’t know whether it will bounce back but people can protect themselves with financial literacy and pre-planning. If you understand humans, you’ll know that most people won’t do that and they’re going to suffer under whatever happens to the economy.

This is why voting is so important to some and not to others. If you’re secure financially you’re not as affected by the government's long list of fuck ups.

I’m going to pray for you poor people because that’s all I can do… Well, all I want to do. You can’t force people to stop spending all their money, sometimes poverty is the only way for them to learn. Laugh at me now for living within my means, but I won’t shed a tear when you’re bankrupt, trust me.

Each country has cultural factors that affect people's spending. In some countries, they’re more likely to spend on luxury cars as it’s a status symbol. Whilst in other places they don’t value cars at all, but may spend big on clothes or eating out.

It’s interesting looking at how each culture bankrupts themselves and what mindsets they have that take them there. This is one of the reasons I like economics.
