Having ambition is meaningless if I can’t keep a job
I have goals I would like to achieve, but I can’t achieve them without a constant stream of income. The only way for me to produce a constant stream of income that I can live from is through my 9–5 at the moment. The thing is, in the UK it’s hard for me to keep a job for a variety of reasons.
I’ve been at my latest job for just under 5 months, but it feels like I’ve been there for a lifetime. The actual job is fine, it’s the people that are the problem — it’s always the people. If you have a simple job then quite often the employees will cause problems of their own. I never thought I’d say this but it’s probably better to have a difficult job.
Whilst I have developed more confidence and resistance over the years the bullies at work have increased their abuse, leading to things like attempts to humiliate me and get me fired. But I need a job so this problem has to be solved one way or another.
I read a comment on Quora from a black guy from Oxford, he had a lot of similar problems to me and his solution was immigrating to Qatar…
