How getting to know your crush can help you get over them

The idea is normally to get to know your crush so you can date them, but getting to know them can also be a great way to move on from them. This is only if you’re willing to look at things as they are and not glamourise this person.

When you like someone a lot it’s easy to look past their obvious red flags which can lead to toxic relationships. Sometimes these relationships don’t even involve dating, but being used instead.

When you know better you do better.

The more you know about someone, the more human they become

The more you get to know someone the more you realise that they’re like everyone else, a flawed human being. Sometimes you’ll like them and their flaws, whilst at other times their flaws will scare you off.

Somtimes it’s the opposite, and it’s their compoticies that will scare you off. Some people are incompetent and they don’t like people who aren’t. They don’t realise this because they’re incompetent and they think the other person is just weird.

I’ve had this a lot of times in my life. I watch as she cringes at the fact I have my life together and have a future.
