How many hobbies do you need?

Sometimes I think to myself that I don’t have enough hobbies, but when I list them out I can see that I have quite a few of them. Then I think about others, and they don’t have 1. There really are no excuses for not having at least 1 hobby, and watching TV doesn’t count. Watching TV is something you do when you need to kill time and you have nothing else to do, it’s not something that you do for passion unless you’re big into films and what goes into them.

But how many hobbies are too many? and how many are too little? I’ve heard you need 4 hobbies. 1 to make money, 1 to keep you creative, 1to help you learn, and 1 that keeps you active. Jadakiss posted this on IG so it must be true.

A hobby that makes me money

Writing on Medium. It’s one of my favourite hobbies and it just so happens to bring in some money too. It’s not a lot of money but when your net worth is -14k any money is good money in my book.

My record month was about £350. This was during covid and I wrote about how much I hate the corporate world and how dumb it is. I like to think I inspired a lot of people to quit their jobs and go into poverty.

Nowadays I make between £30 and £90 a month. It’s hard to make money when people are back outside especially when you put no effort into it. It’s not about the money…
