I am a slave to debt

When you’re in debt you aren’t free, you’re a slave. You’re a slave because you owe someone money and if you don’t pay them they can ruin your life. This is why so many people who are in debt are mad all the time, they have someone breathing down their necks.

They may earn a lot of money but it’s not all theirs as every month someone takes a large portion of it away.

When you’re debt-free you are in control of your life. You are free to move how you want to move, and no one can tell you shit. The savvier people can have debt and still move how they want because they have some sort of leverage, but that’s next-level financial literacy.

I still would recommend not having debt because why would you want to live like that?

I don’t only feel like a slave to debt, I feel like a slave to the UK. I can’t hold down a job here because people here are so hostile and will try to ruin your life if they don’t like you.

I feel like I don’t have the freedom to live my life how I want. I will always be a slave to the bitter people who inhabit this country. By the way, leaving is well and truly back on the table.
