I am not satisfied with my salary
Gaining more skills
If you want to make more money then you have to be more valuable, it’s as simple as that. I think this is something people forget when they complain that they’re not getting paid enough, or when they can’t understand that their request for a raise has been declined.
No one will pay more for average, and you can get average anywhere, so if you’re going to complain then they’ll get someone else in with a click of their fingers. You’re not anything special.
The more skills you have the more you’ll be in demand and the better variety of job roles will be available to you.
Looking for opportunities at your current company
There may be more opportunities at your current company, especially if you work for a big company. This may mean you can move into a higher-paying role without having to ask for a promotion.
Remember, just because you’ve worked at the company for a long time doesn’t mean they’ll just give you a job. You have to prove your worth by having the skills.
If you’re at a smaller company, then it may be the end of the road for you at this company as they don’t get many opportunities and if they do, you’ll have to wait a long time.
