I can't find a career that interests me

Work is boring, but not for the reasons that you think. I don’t care about having a party at work, I’m not 7, I care about doing something that stimulates me. I just think it’s hard to be invested in most jobs as deep down you know that most of them don’t matter except on an economic level.

You have these business owners that think they’re doing something great when in reality all they’re doing is selling slippers to people that already have too many pairs.

The people need to be interesting

To be invested in a company the people have to be interesting and likeable. They don’t have to be amazing but they have to grip you in some way, you have to want to work hard for them as well as for the money.

If you hate the people you work with, then you will hate the company. You may not necessarily hate what you do, but the environment will kill you regardless.

The company can’t be all about money

Although every company is about making money at the end of the day, it still needs to be able to see the bigger picture. It has to look after its employees as well as actually do something of substance.
