I hate recruiters

I’m sure that this is a statement that a lot of you can relate to. When you’re looking for a job, it’s natural that you’re going to have to deal with recruiters from time to time, and all they do is make the job search process way more difficult than it has to be.

They use their lack of people skills, lack of life skills, and most importantly, their lack of likeability to be a thorn in your side.

They edit your CV

Recruiters will sometimes without you knowing edit your CV as they think it’ll make you more attractive to the employer they want to send your CV to. This doesn’t work of course as that’s not how CVs work.

You can’t just add in a few job tasks to a previous role and think the employer will like it, it’s about the whole package. Employers look at more than the tasks that you did but recruiters don’t seem to understand that.

They end up butchering your CV and making you look like an idiot. Sometimes if you get to an interview the fact your CV no longer matches up with what you’re saying will make you look like a liar.

They lie about the role

If the recruiter gets a placement they get paid, so naturally, they’ll do anything to get you into a role, including lie about it. They’ll leave out key information and make a role sound…
