She doesn’t tick many boxes but I like her

I love writing about my crushes on Medium like a 12-year-old girl, it’s my favourite thing. I don’t care what anyone else thinks, writing about romance is fun. I don’t care that I’m a 29-year-old man and have only met this girl twice.

I have found a new weekend job which I did a trial for today. Hopefully, they’ll keep me on as I have a crush on one of the girls who work there — oh yes, I almost forgot, I desperately need the money. The only twist is that her brother works with her and he’s a solid dude, so I’d feel bad hitting on her.

She’s also dating someone but that’s not important.

She’s unspectacular

I’ve been thinking about how I’m going to write this for the last hour or so because it sounds harsh, but she’s very unspectacular by every stretch of the imagination. It’s the only way I could word it, but it’s part of her charm. Also, bear in mind this is a weekend cleaning job and she was dressed down with very little makeup.

I saw her the day before and thought she was pretty (also foreign for some reason), but I didn’t think about her again until I started the next day. I saw her again and immediately thought, “Yep, this is the one”.
