I have to apologise to the North of England

I hate large parts of the North of England and that’s not a secret. I think it’s culturally backwards and the people are xenophobic to the point it’s disturbing. But the south and other parts of the UK are no better in many aspects. That’s not to say that they’re not better to live because they just are.

The North is objectively a shithole in my opinion bar the outdoors, but maybe I was a bit harsh on it. It does have its pros even if they are drowned out by the long list of cons. There are certain things I miss about the North, like the ability to live life without having to be angry as a defence mechanism.

People down south aren’t much brighter

I criticised people from up North for not being very bright because they aren’t, but people down South aren’t much better. Yes, people down south have more common sense, and yes they have much better social skills, but there are a lot of fucking idiots down here too.

I think having better social skills hides their stupidity better and so does their set of values. When you value shallow you’re thinking about your image more, so you’re more likely to portray yourself as a person who knows what they’re talking about and you’re going to carry yourself better.
