I miss the sense of humour of my home town
I don’t know about you, but sense of humour is massive to me. When I was a kid I made all my friends through my humour, I didn’t have much else going for me to be honest.
It led me to be around people who also had a good sense of humour and the people in my home town have a good sense of humour in general.
Since I’ve left, one of the reasons I’ve failed to integrate into some places is because of humour. I didn’t find the locals funny and they didn’t find me funny either. It’s interesting that what makes you loved in one place can make you hated in another.
It’s also interesting how switched-off and mindless people can be in different parts of a country. In some places culturally they’re completely tuned out and are essentially zombies and that’s just how it is.
British humour
The UK is known for its humour, but I think it’s overrated and that fact is what’s inspiring me to write this post. Parts of the country are funny, and people use those regions to generalise the entire country.
Many parts of the country aren’t funny, but of course, you’re going to find funny and unfunny people everywhere as humour is subjective and people are all slightly different.
