I want to live somewhere that provides higher wages
I want to get paid as much as possible for doing my job because the only reason I work is for money, and I don’t like having a 9–5. I also hate a lot of people that I have to work with and I think that I should be compensated nicely for putting up with them. The people I work with now are right out of the resource room.
The thing is, I can work as hard as I can, be smart about my career, and move up the ranks, but in the UK, most people don’t get paid that much. We are some of the highest earners in Europe, but Europe overall is a disgrace when it comes to wages so the bar isn’t that high.
There are countries made for earning more
There have always been countries out there that are basically hubs for people who want to earn a good living for a few years before they go back home. Countries like Dubai, Singapore, Switzerland, etc.
They are not countries I would like to live in for the rest of my life but I wouldn’t mind living there for 3–5 years. I lived in Greater Manchester for roughly 3 years and survived so I can survive anywhere.
Now I work in Gloucester which is basically Hell on Earth and I’m not dead yet so how bad can Saudi Arabia be?
