If I didn’t work in an office I’d be happy

I hate working in an office, and you know this because it’s what 80% of my posts on Medium are about. So why do I stay? Why don’t I pack it in and start a new career in something else instead of torturing myself every day?

Well, things just aren’t that simple.

But at the same time, most of my problems in life come from working in an office. If I worked from home I’d have literally 0 issues with work, which means my life is way more simple.

Long term goals

I’d leave the office right now but I don’t see the point because of my long-term goals. My goal is to become a digital nomad and work for myself, what’s the point in putting in the time and money getting into a new field?

I may as well go all in on my other aspirations so I can achieve them as soon as possible. Changing career also means I have no confidence in going self-employed which just isn’t true.

Starting a new career makes going self-employed blurry as you’ll want to incorporate or perhaps build a new business around that career. Well, I would anyway.
