Is It more about where you’re working than who you’re working for?
I’ve lived and worked in a few different locations throughout my life. I’ve also worked across various industries and had a few different jobs.
Although what you do for a living is important, where you live is just as critical. Some places just produce more tolerable people that are easier to work with than others, and some places just aren’t for everyone.
It might not be that you hate your job or even that your industry is full of assholes, it could just be where you live.
I know you’re not allowed to say this but some places do produce a high amount of assholes.
The different mindsets towards work
Some places produce people that have a better attitude to work than others, and there are also places that produce people that are too into work.
Take a place like New York, it’s all grind grind grind, which is fine for some people but others don’t want to work 24/7. Some people move to New York purely because of the city and don’t have much of an interest in a career.
These people normally have to move away when their parent’s money runs out as they don’t go far in their careers so they can no longer afford to live there.
