Is purpose artificial?

You can tell where I was in my life when I came up with the idea for this post. When I am in a phase of figuring things out I question why we do anything, and this time I questioned if we have a purpose or if we lie to ourselves in order to make our daily efforts seem valid.

In the end, I think that we lie to ourselves in order to give ourselves a reason to get up every morning and to give ourselves a personality.

No one is born to do anything

I don’t believe that anyone was put on this Earth to do anything specific, it’s just that the stars align for certain people and they get extremely good in one area. If life was even slightly different for those people they may not be where they are now.

Your upbringing is the main factor that determines who you turn out to be later in life. If you were born in a different town a 10-minute drive away, or even 1 year earlier, all of a sudden, you may not have had the circumstances to create the person you are today. That could be a good or a bad thing.

For example, Justin Beiber became famous by putting his music online. If he wasn’t born in this era, would he have had the career he has now? Were there people out there with the same level of ability, looks, and charisma out there before Beiber who didn’t make it because they were born before the…
