It’s interesting to see what people think about you when they first meet you

We all see the world differently. Based on how and where we were raised, the experiences we’ve had, what we’ve been taught, and who we are, we put together our view of the world. This is why a person who grows up in a small town in Gloucestershire has such a different view of the world than a person who grows up in the middle of Manhattan, New York.

Knowing this, it’s important to take what people think about us with a pinch of salt, especially when they first meet us. People judge you based on what they know about the world and what you appear to be. They put you in a box and expect you to stay in it.

Many people think they’re great judges of character, but what’s really happening is they’re stereotyping people and refusing to budge. They’re going to try and make someone live up to a stereotype rather than seeing a person for who they are.

Some people believe that you can judge a person by their shoes, but people have many shoes and what they’ve chosen to wear that day may have little to no reflection on who they are as a person. I hope people have a deeper grasp on psychology than shoes.
