I’ve stopped looking for a passion at work
Some people will tell you to do something you’re passionate about for a living, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve realised that this isn’t the way. Then you have other people who tell you to work for money alone, but in my eyes, this is wrong too.
You should pursue your passions and ambitions in life and your career should fit into that. Your career should not be the main focus of your life. You have a bigger mission and you should focus on all aspects of your life.
There was a time when I wanted to prove myself in my 9–5, then I went on to thinking I wanted to be an entrepreneur, and now I don’t feel like I have anything to prove in the workforce and I’m looking for something else.
As of now, I have a contract job in credit control — well actually I received a call and I was offered a permanent position today. I’m so good that I got a permanent offer before my first day…
First, find your purpose
Finding my purpose is still something I haven’t done, and I’m wondering if it’s something I will ever do. I was thinking today, that maybe my purpose is to tell my story and hope that I can help someone not make the same mistakes I did. Or maybe I can be relatable to someone in hopes they don’t feel alone.
