Living in the UK vs Australia
I’ve never been to Australia, but I do have the typical British idealism of the place, its British heritage. Imagine living in a place that’s sort of similar to the UK but it has nicer weather and funnier people. Sounds like paradise.
I know a few people who’ve been on working holidays there and one has stayed permanently. Whilst it does look sort of interesting it doesn’t look any more interesting than the UK, but might be all I need. The UK but different. You don’t always need a complete cultural shift.
I am at the point where I have officially given up on the UK, although I may have said that before already. I don’t see any future here so it’s all about saving money and finding my next home. My American friends naturally want me to come over there as it’s the best apparently.
Anglo Saxon Countries
Part of me thinks that all I need from a new country is a different Anglo-Saxon country. I don’t need to move to a place with a completely different culture, all I need is the same but slightly different. This is why I’ve been looking at the US and Australia.
