Making an impact on the world vs making money

Would you rather make an impact on the world or make money? I’m sure most people reading this are immediately thinking that they’d rather make an impact on the world because it’s the more noble thing to do, but when push comes to shove I think a massive portion of people would choose the money.

I also think that a lot of people would choose the money once they’ve attempted to make an impact on the world. It’s not easy, and it comes with a lot of pressure and walls to get past.

And then there is the option to do both. Make money whilst you’re making an impact on the world doing something that you love. This is something that celebrities do.

Is it even important to do any of these things? Because you can make an impact in other ways, it doesn’t always have to be massive.

You can go for passion

I’d go for passion before I’d go for any of the other two options because passion can and does lead to one of the outcomes or even both. If you’re passionate about something and you’re smart about it you can end up making a good living from it. If the thing you’re passionate about revolves around others then you can make a real impact on the world.
