Mason Greenwood and the comforting lies people tell themselves

For those of you that don’t know, Mason Greenwood is a Man Utd footballer that was recently accused of rape and threatening to take his girlfriend Harriet Robson’s life. This has sparked a lot of controversy not only for what was done but also for the reaction of the public as well.

Many people naturally don’t want to see Greenwood play for United ever again, but there is a growing number of people that think he deserves a second chance.

If you’re familiar with this case, you wouldn’t think he deserves a chance to play for United again because he’s already had his second chance. The fact he’s not in prison for clearly being guilty is a blessing in itself, anything other than that is a godsend.

What did he actually do?

His girlfriend, now fiance posted a voice recording of Greenwood trying to force her to have sex with him. In the recording, you could hear everything very clearly, and there is no room for misinterpretation.

She was asking Mason to stop and said she didn’t want to have sex, and he was having none of it. He was threatening her and the entire recording is disturbing.
