Misery loves company, but that company isn’t going to be me

Miserable people are everywhere, sometimes we can’t even tell they’re miserable on the outside because they’re hiding it. It’s not until we get to know them that we find out they’re dying inside.

Whilst I do feel bad for miserable people on a human level, I don’t feel bad for all of them. Some people are just impossible to feel sorry for and it’s their fault.

They’re the ones that take out their pain on other people. You try and be nice but they’re so horrible it’s impossible. I don’t want to be anywhere near you people.

Misery doesn’t have to be taken out on others

I’ve been depressed so I know how it feels to be in the dumps, but it’s no reason to be horrible to other people. Depression doesn’t make you lose your self-awareness.

I made sure not to take out my pain on others, it comes with emotional maturity and awareness of yourself.

I think that whether people take their pain out on others or not is affected by why they’re depressed. People that think they deserve more out of life and have been hard done by tend to be more spiteful in my experience.

They think they should be famous, rich, or regarded as wise, and because they’re not they’re bitter.
