My 9–5 is my side hustle

I used to be addicted to the thought of quitting my job and never working again like many people. This made me try lots of different money-making schemes in order to raise the capital to break free of corporate life. But what it actually did was ruin my life and looking back it was never going to work.

I rushed things and didn’t properly plan for the future. I didn’t know what it took to be an entrepreneur and I listened to too many business gurus. Also, leaving your 9–5 is a terrible goal that doesn’t have a real destination. I know people that work for themselves but don’t know what to do with their life, they’re in limbo trying to stay afloat.

Now although I do still hate the working world I look at it differently now. I see my job as one of many ways that I can bring in money, and a way to save up for my future. Further in the future, I want to do something meaningful with my work as becoming an entrepreneur and making money for the sake of it doesn’t sound appealing to me.

It’s empty and not to mention, boring. What am I going to do if I get rich? go on holiday all the time until I die? It’s all about purpose, not money.

It’s a funding vehicle

You need to have money to make money, so before you quit your 9–5 you should think about using it to fund your other ventures for as long…
