My Co-worker Wants To Be Friends…

Sometimes on accident, you’ll end up getting along with someone at work. One day the bastard gets confident and asks you to hang out.. after hours. You feel an immediate pit in your stomach and you’re overcome with anxiety.

You can’t lie because you’ve made the mistake of allowing them to know what you do in your free time. They know you’re free, so there’s no escape.

The more awkward situation is when the person you barely know wants to be your friend. They’re looking for friendship from anywhere they can get it and you’re their current target. Being a decent human being in this situation sucks because you don’t want to destroy their confidence, but you sure as fuck don’t want to be their friend.

The Work Weirdo

Not to sound mean (I don’t actually care) but there are a lot of weirdos out there and sometimes you work with them. In fact, a lot of the time you work with them.

They’re socially awkward, maybe hygiene challenged as well. They’re not bad people but they’re not people that you want to be friends with. A lot of the time they’re not the brightest and will say weird things to people that makes them feel uncomfortable.

The weirdo often get’s themselves fired so it may be a case of just waiting it out.
