People are always looking for advice on how to find a partner and keep them from escaping in the middle of the night. They’ll try manipulating people, gaining leverage over them, tieing them in financially, and being overbearing, but nothing seems to work.

One thing that fewer people are doing is something simple and obvious that’s guaranteed to work — being pleasant. That’s right guys, with the power of being a decent person you can find love. I know it sounds crazy but being a person that people want to be around does actually work.

Stop demanding so much

People ask for so much nowadays it makes relationships feel like business partnerships. People will audit your life like they’re the IRS and completely ignore who you are as a person. The only reason you should be with someone is because you like them, they don’t have to benefit you in superficial ways.

Your partner is not an asset for you to use to make money and they’re not a tool for you to use to make your life easier. You can’t be surprised you’re with a sociopath when all you looked for was a decent bank balance and a nice car.
