People are desperate to protect racism
The main reason racism will never go away is because people work so hard to protect it. People won’t admit this but they love to hate people for being different from them, whether that be race, gender, social class, or something else. People will find ways to separate themselves from everyone else.
There is no real push to end racism, and whenever racism comes to the forefront it doesn’t stay there. There is also a media push to spread certain narratives about different races of people based on what they want the general population to think.
I think this all comes down to money. I think if anti-racism was profitable then we’d see more of it in the media, but it’s not and being racist has its benefits to certain parties. Like demonising Palestinians whilst they’re suffering through a genocide backed by the West.
We can’t have the locals in the West thinking that they’re the bad guys, they might want the horrors to stop.
Why don’t people want to end racism?
I think this is down to the individual. I think people are inherently racist, and what I mean by that is I think people naturally hate what’s different to them, and when you’re from a different place or look different to someone that makes you a natural target for hate.
