Remote work is disappearing for many of us and we only have ourselves to blame

In 2020 most of us were forced to work from home because of the pandemic. Many people (boomers) were panicked by this as they feared they wouldn’t be able to get their job done properly whilst in their bedrooms.

But what happened is that people loved it and most still do, in fact, some people won’t take a job unless it’s hybrid. The only people that hate working from home are people that hate their home lives — and boomers.

But now in 2023, companies are calling people back into the office and we the employees must take most of the blame. It’s over, back to reality.

People took the piss

Many people take the piss when they’re working from home, and it’s made doing simple tasks a lot harder. People can’t be mature enough to do their jobs unsupervised and spend their day watching TV and speaking to their work besties on Teams for ages.

Some people are so uncontactable when working from home that they may as well not be in at all. It’s not like any work is getting done.

Naturally, the bosses have noticed this and it’s pissed them off. They gave people a little bit of leeway, albeit forced, and people took the piss. Some people claim to get more done from home, and they do. But…
