Simple people are fascinating to watch

If I could do anything with my life and get paid for it, I’d pick studying dumb people. It’s kind of what this Medium blog is about. Observations of dumb people and the dumb things that people do, including myself.

Professionals don’t like you to outright say that some people are dumb even though some of us objectively are, and we’re surrounded by stupid people all the time. It’s politically incorrect and it comes across as arrogant. Whilst some of us have dumb moments, for others being dumb is a constant.

I don’t see a problem with acknowledging that some people are dumb as long as you’re not being a dick about it. Treating people differently, and treating them differently based on stereotypes too.

Bear in mind this isn’t coming from a person that considers themselves smart. I think I’m completely average and my life reflects that.

There are some people out there who are so simple that you feel bad for them, some of them anyway. Some are way too arrogant and hostile to feel sorry for — aka people from the West Country (He says, coming from the West Country himself).

Their approach to problem-solving

Smart people solve problems, and dumb people cause them. Sometimes solving problems can result in more problems as some problems…
