Some advice for dating someone at work
Dating someone at work is a lot harder than dating someone you’ve met outside of work. You’re with them all day or at least close by. You’re also constantly being watched by your colleagues which comes with its own consequences. You’re in your relationship all day and never have an escape which is actually one of the good things about having a 9–5.
Be careful who you tell what
People at work can be snakes, and sometimes they’ll snake you for no reason at all. They have no loyalty for you and they’re not thinkers, so they attack the people around them when they’re upset. So be careful about what you tell people about your relationship and who you speak to about it.
Some people will use what you say to try and ruin your relationship, whilst others will use your relationship as their work entertainment. The last thing you want is stories about your personal life swirling around the office.
Try and keep things as private as possible
Although people know you around the office, what happens in your relationship is ultimately none of their business. If they try and push remind them politely that they should focus on their job.
