Some of us have to figure out life by ourselves

One type of privilege that few people speak about is having a sound support system. It’s a privilege because not everyone has it and it’s not easy to get one. The people that were born with good support around them find it so much easier to go far and leave everyone else in the dust.

No one becomes highly successful by themselves, so having good supportive people around you is priceless. But for some, it isn’t easy due to the circumstances that they were born into and the opportunities that are available to them.

Cultural support

Cultural support is a phrase that I’m calling dibs on. It’s when you have friends and family that support you due to cultural obligations. They may not always get on, but they have to support each other or they’ll risk being outcasted.

A good example of this is Jewish people. The Jewish are a close-knit community of people that are almost separate from the rest of society. They create communities that they can live in peacefully and within those communities come opportunities.
