Some people have no qualities

There is something likeable about everyone. Even if a person is a cunt they might still be funny or something… Maybe they’re good at cooking I don’t know.

This is what I used to think up until about 2019 when I moved to Manchester. There I met different types of people and realised that this thought wasn’t true at all. Some people genuinely have nothing going for them, and there is no place that this rings more true than Manchester.

It’s not only about other people, it’s also a me thing. As you get older you change and you value different things in people. You also view adults differently than kids or teens and you expect more from them.

I try to see the good in everyone but some people don’t have anything good inside of them, and that’s the fact of the matter. They need to develop in every single aspect. I don’t even hate these people as there is nothing to hate about them, they have no character.

Who was the first person I saw this in?

It was a girl I met at my first job in Manchester. It was an entry-level role without an interview process so they hired anyone. I think about this company and their “hiring process” and I consider myself lucky to have worked with the people I did. It could have been way worse.
