Sometimes you have to do less to do more
As someone who’s benefitted from having goals, at one point in time I thought that goals should be set for everything in order to maximise your life. After doing this for a short period, I’ve realised that this is not the way to go.
You don’t need goals for everything and the more goals you have the less effective you are at each one. It also makes life less enjoyable and takes you away from your personal life.
You’re living to tick things off a list each day, some of which you don’t even care about.
Give yourself more time to focus on your goals
The fewer goals that you have, the more time you have to focus on each one. This means that you’ll be able to put more effort into each one and have greater success.
You can remain more focused in your approach and be less scattered gunned. Having lots of goals means having lots of targets to hit. Having lots of targets to hit means that you’ll have lots of tasks to do on a daily basis.
It’s not good to be all over the place as you’ll end up putting 50% into everything that you do, making it completely redundant.
