Stop confusing your work colleagues for your friends
Don’t fall into the trap, your work friends aren’t your real friends. I see it happen all the time. People become “friends” in the first few weeks of meeting someone at work and then it ends in disaster.
Best case scenario you stay friends throughout your time at work and then they ghost you when one of you leaves. It’s always funny hearing how two supposedly close work friends “lost touch” after one left.
It doesn’t take long at all because they weren’t real friends.
They’re co-dependent relationships
Work friendships are normally co-dependent. Two or more people need something from one another like security, a promotion, or someone to help them get through the boredom.
You do not want to get too close to a person that’s only using you because they’re bored. Who knows who this weirdo really is?
There's no loyalty
Work friends have absolutely 0 loyalty. I don’t know why humans can’t be loyal to everyone they meet, they seem to save it for only a few people. I think that you should try to be as loyal to people as possible, unless they’re fucking you over of course.
