That Time I Worked At Boohoo

Boohoo is one of the UK’s biggest fashion companies, it’s so big now that they’re swallowing some of the other big fashion companies. They’re all about fast fashion and providing women with affordable clothes for low prices.

I got the chance to work for this giant for a few weeks, and this is how it was.

How I Got The Job

I got the job through an agency. They didn’t even give me an interview, I was surprised considering the size of the company, but then again, they didn’t interview me when I worked for Lloyds either.

When you don’t get an interview, you’re really going into the unknown. You don’t know who or what type of people you’re going to be working with.

Usually, in entry-level jobs like this, you’re surrounded by horrible people that can’t get a job anywhere else because no one wants to put up with them.

My First Day

On my first day, I was shocked at their building. It was very nice inside and they’d even just had a fake runway installed. I was shocked at how nice the building was because of how low the wages were. They even had a scandal a few weeks earlier centred around them barely paying warehouse workers.

I met a nice girl who I thought was the manager, but was actually just a long term…
