Culture is important, it makes life interesting, it comes from a rich history and it tells a story. I don’t believe that some places have no culture, some cultures are just boring — like a lot of Western Europe.

But as with anything, there are cons as well, and sometimes people can become what I like to call “slaves to their culture”. They’re People who don’t think independently and are a cultural stereotype. They abandon all logic to follow rules that may not be applicable in their current situation.

Sometimes this can stop people from being human in my opinion, as the independence and uniqueness that makes people human isn’t there. People may also be worsening their lives by acting a certain way because everyone they know does the same.

Cultural rules keep society together

Cultural rules are an unspoken way of keeping society together. If you don’t follow them then you risk being ostracised and most people don’t want that. People know for the most part that they have to act a certain way to live a certain lifestyle.

Life can be made very hard for you if you decide not to follow cultural code and in some places, it can cost you your life.
