The financial industry is very misleading
It’s been around 2 years since I started working in the financial industry, and this post is fitting because I’m working on a way out. The financial industry is advertised to be one thing and it’s completely different when you get into it.
It’s not something that I’d recommend to anyone long-term unless you have no other options. It is exactly the field for people who don’t have any other options, and I have options.
My experience during this time has been one of the worst experiences of my career, and enough is enough. I wasn’t expecting to leave so quickly but I think I’ve found something new.
The intelligence level
Let’s start with the level of intelligence in this field. I wouldn’t bring it up unless it’s a concern, and it’s a concern. The people in their field don’t seem too bright at all. They’re not completely brainless but I noticed something was off as soon as I got into the field.
I’ve worked in a lot of different fields and I’d have to say finance is of the dumbest and I think I know why.
