The grass isn’t always greener, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it anyway
When it comes to making a big change in your life, people will always try to hold you back by putting doubts in your head. Sometimes these people are you. They’ll tell you that the change might make your life harder instead of better, but you know what — sometimes you need to do it anyway.
I’m a person who’s made lots of life decisions that have drastically changed my life. I am overall happier for it although I have had my bad moments. What I’d say is that you don’t know until you try and no matter what happens, you’ll thank yourself for the experience — unless you lose everything.
You might fall flat on your face and you may need to go back, but at least you tried. You now know better.
I can’t emphasise enough the importance of planning and having an exit plan. Being prepared is not a bad thing.
You shouldn’t stay in a toxic situation just because the alternative might also be toxic
Let's use a toxic job as an example. Many people stay in their toxic jobs because they think the next job they get might also be toxic. It’s staying with the devil you know, there is comfort in that.
