The response you get from being an individual is mind-blowing

Choosing to be an individual means choosing to live a difficult life. I personally think it’s one of the most difficult things you can do in life and that’s why so many people don’t do it. There is a lot of false advertising around it, but once you can do it naturally your overall life will improve.

Just not the social aspect…

If you dare to truly be yourself and take an independent path then you are going to be subjected to a lot of abuse. People are going to think you’re weird, people are going to think you’re arrogant, some people will say you’re dangerous, and you’ll get the odd gay rumour.

Honestly, the reaction you get from being yourself is one of the most telling realisations you can get about humanity. When you’re not following the crowd you will see humans in a different light.

The best way I can describe it is you see people like the townspeople in South Park. You will understand the level of self-awareness it takes to make a show like that too.

Like with any realisation like this, once you open that door it closes behind you and locks so you can’t get back into the world you were in before. This is it now, this is your new life and there aren’t many people here. Grass is greener than a mother fucker though.
