The types of women I think I like versus the type of women I actually like

I want a family, so it’s important to know what type of woman I want so I can look in the right places. In the past, I’ve clearly had a type, but I think that was more out of circumstance and desperation.

You can only date what's around you for the most part, and when you’re young, you’ll date anyone who will let you.

Nowadays I have options and I have more confidence. Now I have choices it’s more obvious what type of girl I do and don’t like, but it’s more about what type of attributes I will and won’t put up with.

When it comes to people, I know who I get along with, it’s a natural connection. But when it comes to a partner it’s about the day-to-day and long term. There is more to think about. Just because you like someone doesn’t mean you’ll be good in a relationship.

What interests me initially

You can tell when you first speak to someone a lot about how they think and how much they have going on in their life, and more importantly, you can tell a lot by their outlook. I want someone with a positive outlook who has plans to move forward with their life, not stagnate.
